Product Description: The Art of Marqués de Riscal Spanish Reserva: Marqués de Riscal Reserva wines are primarily crafted from Tempranillo grapes harvested from vineyards in the Rioja Alavesa region, planted before the 1970s, on the finest clay-calcareous soils. This variety is well-suited for wood aging and bottle aging, thanks to its balanced acidity and fine tannins. A small percentage of Graciano grapes, not exceeding 10%, adds freshness and vivid color to the blend. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 26°C with a maceration period of no more than 12 days. The Reservas are aged for approximately two years in American oak barrels, resulting in a Spanish wine that adheres to the classic Rioja style—fresh, refined, elegant, and with great aging potential. Before entering the market, it undergoes a minimum bottle refinement period of one year.
